Hello

Very nice blog. I really enjoyed reading it. Recently I wanted to buy a house and I search online for sites like yours to educate myself on the process. After several recommendations and referrals I called the guys at http://www.homeinspectionspecialist.com and they inspected my house for me. I am so glad I search online and got advice on this step in the buying process.. I found out a lot of things about the house that I would not have known.. in fact I even used it to negotiate over $10,000 dollars off the asking price. Anyway, I look forward to all the updates. Thanks again.

Thanks Jessica. Kudos to you for getting out there and doing it. Your use of the inspection to renegotiate the price is a great tip for beginners! Well done.

jessica you just hit on one of the wisest investments i have ever found in real estate. i call it hidden insurance. a couple hundred dollar inspection can and often does save you thousands.

even if they find little wrong, there is almost always something. my current home, the inspector found the railings on the stairs were not spaced far enough a part and a child could get their head caught in it.

i dont have any kids, but when i go to resell it, what then? cost of inspection was covered by the price reduction. had there been anything else wrong, i would have had some pretty easy sweat equity.
