Totally agree with you on this one. It is true that some people are just afraid to fail or not really sure what they want that they keep on jumping, trying to find that one golden idea to make millions. Truth is, you can't succeed if you haven't tasted failure. You won't succeed if you're too afraid. And if you don't start, you'll never succeed.

I know for me it's very tough to not waste my time on over educating myself before moving forward. Part of me is in search for that exact process that will be fool proof and work instantly. Another part of me is afraid of losing what I've got already. It's scary for sure, but we all have to take that "leap of faith" and just go for it.

The thing about seminar ‘Gurus’ is they love to sell long drawn-out, overly complicated techniques that do nothing more than keep you busy chasing your tail and buying more books, tapes and seminar reservations.

Like I've said before, courses, books and other programs offer knowledge and perhaps motivation, some accurate, some unique and some, same ole same ole. No guru can guarantee success. Knowledge is just part of the equation. It also takes ingenuity, resourcefulness and guts.

There are a ton of other factors, too, like, how you relate to others and how others perceive you. Can you put yourself in the trenches or do you expect to succeed by sitting in front of your computer? Absorb those pieces and parts that make sense to you. As always, the best way to learn is by doing.

Scott, I definite concur that a hands-on approach offers that invaluable part of the overall education that textbooks, probabilities and textbooks cannot effectively convey. Case in point, in 2007 before the deadly rupture in the market, I jumped in with a minimal investment with two other friends on a fixer. We all took our share of the physical and intellectual tasks. The pages in some of these books cannot live up to what you can learn from the contractors and builders you strike up conversations with by waiting in line at Home Depot or Lowe's.

I agree with you 100 percent. I think everyone needs a perfect balance of some education and a lot of hands on experience. Unfortunately I think people are more scared of, if the offer gets accepted then actually buying the house that they never make the first offer. Or people are scared that they will be stuck with the property. My advice is too wholesale a couple of deals and you'll build confidence to start closing on the houses yourself.
